What makes the river move? The thoughts and fears and loves of thousands, moving the water out of its bed, and down to the sea. As the sun travels across its face, the 24 figures it contains seem to emerge and ripple down the sides. It’s truly magical.

Cynthia’s currently working on a second, taller, architectural version of this piece, for incorporation into a visual barrier on a kitchen island.

The wave lifts high and smashes down, roiling and powerful, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. And still she sleeps, undisturbed.

The figures in SHOUT rage and cringe, kiss and kill, depending on the angle of view and where the light strikes. This piece is about rage, and what happens when the brain shuts down, leaving only the primitive animal cortex to respond.

The ocean moves. It swells, it flows, it breaks, it thrusts. It pushes all life before it, and under it, and over it. It surges ahead and leaves us in its wake.
